Showcase Sunday #70

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

Ah! It's been such an insane week at work. As soon as I hang up the phone it rings again. Some one walks into the office. Makes it hard to have any energy or time to do anything. *pats blog on shoulder* But business is business. I'm happy we have less than a week left in January. Can see the light at the end of the wintery tunnel.

Purchased

You're the One That I Want by Giovanna Fletcher: Bought this one because it's one of the books Samantha challenged me to read in our 2015 challenge. Read it this week. Loved it. Perfection
The Book of Ivy(The Book of Ivy #1) by Amy Engel: There's a billion great reviews and hype on this one. So I've fallen into it.
Spy Glass(Glass #3) by Maria V Snyder: This trilogy is the only books I've yet to read by Snyder. I have no idea why I haven't gotten to them yet. But I will change that shortly.

Cinderella or the Little Glass Slipper by Charles Perrault & Camille Rose Garcia: I absolutely adore these illustrated editions. Beautiful. So when I saw Cinderella was being released I pre-ordered it.

Netgalley

I'm sooooo excited for Shadow Scale. It has been 3 years coming.

Random Bookish Stuff

What did you guys get this week?

Happy reading!

  1. Hopefully next week won't be as manic! It sounds like you haven't had much of a chance to relax.
I'm SO glad you loved You're the One That I Want. I can't wait to read Billy and Me now :D
I've heard some mixed things about The Book of Ivy, so I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing what you think. I need to get around to reading Seraphina soon! I love those illustrated editions! I think the Alice in Wonderland one is my favourite.
It's been on my bookcase for about a year and a half now. THE MAZE RUNNER! It's not out here for another two weeks I think.
    Happy reading :D

  2. Those illustrated fairytale editions look so good. Love the artwork. Also, lucky you, you get to read Shadow Scale. I can't believe it's been such a long time since Seraphina. I can't wait to read it! Happy reading :)

  3. I want My Bibliofile! It looks so delightfully bookish. The illustrated fairytales are gorgeous so I'm sure you'll enjoy them! Hope next week is a bit calmer so you can relax a bit. Hate hectic craziness. I rewatched John's wedding on Sherlock (tears at the speech) so the last episode is getting watched this week if it kills me! I'll let you know as soon as I watch it!
