This week I managed to finish four book. All being in physical form; two re-reads and one ARC.
Wanderlost by Jen Malone ****
Find my review here.
The Witch Hunter(The Witch Hunter #1) by Virginia Boecker ****(re-read)
I had to give this one a re-read before jumping into the sequel because I pretty much rememberd nothing. So it was like reading for the first time. And I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Great success.
The King Slayer(The Witch Hunter #2) by Virginia Boecker ****
Review to come.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes *****(re-read)
I re-read this for some very obvious reasons. But also it's be three years since I first discovered this book and Jojo Moyes. Since then I've read most of her books and Me Before You still remains my favourite. This time around I did have some differing opinions and thoughts on Will. Not 100% love. But ultimately I still love this book with all my heart and it will remain an absolute favourite forever.
What did you guys read this week?
Happy reading!
Brittany
I think I started Witch Hunter but didn't get very far for some reason. I should try to pick it up again

I don't do a lot of re-reading but it's always interesting to see if my thoughts/feelings have changed the second time around. Sounds like yours did somewhat with Will. Have you seen the movie yet? I'm holding off until Robert reads the books so we can see it together and compare/discuss. But he hasn't had a lot of time for reading lately sooo... gah! Love that pic of Wanderlust... gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh Will. I think the first read through I was just so immersed in the story that I didn't get everything. I still love Will but I'm also mad at him. And yes! Saw the movie on release day. It's fucking perfect. It's pretty much the book.
DeleteHurry up, Robert! God...
LMAO That's pretty much what I said last night... hurry up, Robert! I think I'm giving up that he'll be able to read it while it's still at the theaters. He's about a third of the way into Addicted After All and that'll take him a while. We might go see Me Before You on Sunday no matter what.
DeleteYou know what? I hate to day it, but seeing the movie will give him almost the same experience as reading the book. I did find the movie quite a bit more funny and less sad. But it's soooo good and if I wasn't unemployed I would have seen it a few more times in theatres.
