Top 5 Wednesday: Re-Reads

Top 5 Wednesday is a meme started by Lainey at Ginger Reads Lainey. Find the list of all the #T5WFamily here.

This weeks topic is:

Top 5 Books I Want to Re-Read!

Just last month I did this for a Top Ten Tuesday. Which you can find here. So I of course won't be mentioning any of those books(although I have already re-read one of them). But I do have a pretty decent size re-read list, so here are an additional 5 books that I want to re-read within the next year or so.

5. Finnikin of the Rock and Froi of the Exiles

I absolutely LOVE these books. I really need/want to finish the trilogy off. I don't know why I haven't picked up Quintana of Charyn yet. But I haven't. So I'm going to re-read these beauties first so I can have the story super fresh in my mind going into Quintana.

4. Maybe Someday

Yes this one was only published earlier this year. I read it as soon as midnight hit. Spoiler; it is in the top 3 books I've read this year. It's just such a beautiful book. Of course I really want to experience the story again. Especially having just read Maybe Not.

3. The Lost Girls

This is a non-fiction book I read at least 5 years ago. It's about 3 girlfriends who are coming up to 30 and not totally happy with where they are in life. So they decide to travel for a year. It's a fantastic travel memoir. Totally spoke to me. But I think now that I'm actually the age the ladies were it will have an even stronger effect on me. Especially because I'm totally in the same place they were.

2. The Host

Just recently I got a real desire to pick this up. I quite enjoyed it when I first read it(what 6 or 7 years ago?). I do remember taking at least half the book to get into it, but once I was I flew through it. So I'm definitely interested to see if my opinion has changed since I have definitely grown and changed as a reader.

1. A Breath of Snow and Ashes and An Echo in the Bone

So I started my re-read of the Outlander series earlier this year in anticipation of the long awaited 8th book, Written in My Own Heart's Blood. If you didn't already know(and how could you not, I mention it at least once a week), this is my favourite series. I've read the first 3 books at least 4 or 5 times. Anyways, it had been 5 years since the last book, so I needed a refresher/was really wanting to re-read them. Right now I'm about a quarter into A Breath of Snow and Ashes. I'll be trying to finish it by the years end. I was really hoping to get them all re-read this year, but they're such big books and can get a little dense that it's hard to read them back to back. But that's okay. I LOVE them so much. And who knows how long it will be before the 9th book anyhow. Probably another 5 years...

What are some books you really want to re-read soonish?

Happy reading!

Brittany

  1. I want to read Colleen Hoover and I love the look of The Lost Girls. I haven't read Outlander yet (I know, I know!) but I do intend to one day!

  2. Maybe Someday is a re-read MUST! I think I'll join you when you plan to re-read it. I could use a bit of Ridge in my life again :)
My copy of The Host is battered because I've read it so many times. I looooooooooove it so much, and I actually think I've grown to love it more every time I've read it. I hope you still enjoy it! :)

  3. Maybe Someday is one I actually recently reread, along with Ugly Love, because I couldn't stop myself. I am planning to start the Outlander series very soon, so I need to hurry up and get my hands on ALL the books.
