December. Who wants to do my Christmas shopping for me? I've barely started. Thankfully I do a lot of it online because it's easier and less crowded. Thank God for online shopping. How was your November? Mine was alright. I honestly don't recall much of anything happening. We got the first big snow fall of the season. Which was way earlier than usual. So that was a piss off. Otherwise work got a lot busier which meant less time to actually blog(I do most of my blogging at work. Gold star employee here...). I did no carbs November. Which made me even more grumpier than usual. But no surprise, whenever I take out carbs my mood plummets. But my body appreciates it. So I guess it's a win in the end.
Reading wise, November was alright. I finished 17 books. Which isn't terribly fantastic for me. The end of the month saw me struggling to read. Just was in a mood. Honestly as I'm writing this I didn't think I'd read anything spectacular this month but than I went to look at the books I've read and realized that's a major lie. There's a few 5*, quite a few 4* and a few 3*. So pretty good actually. Apparently I just can't remember what I read this month. Anyhow, you just want to see what went down this month.
The Map to Everywhere(Pirate Stream #1) by Carrie Ryan 3.5*
The Walled City by Ryan Graudin 4.5*
The Retribution of Mara Dyer(Mara Dyer #3) by Michelle Hodkin 5*
The Woman Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes 4.5*
Blue Lily, Lily Blue(The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater 4*
Mockingjay(Hunger Games #3) by Suzanne Collins 5*(re-read)
Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma 5*
Fire With Fire(Burn For Burn #2) by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian 4*
Turns out I really loved my Kindle this month as well. I know I said I wanted to read all my review books. I obviously did not do that. But I read a pretty decent amount. *pats self on back* As for my favourite(as usual not including re-reads), I'd have to go with either The Retribution of Mara Dyer or Forbidden. Mara was a solid series ender and Forbidden was messed up but wonderful.

My December TBR includes a bunch of Christmas-y reads(of course). Which actually Samantha and I aren't technically doing any buddy reads, but we'll probably end up picking up a lot of the same Christmas type books. *high-five* I'm only committing myself to three review books(one being The Winner's Crime), but I'll definitely try to pick up more if I get through all the books I definitely want to read. There's a few new releases I'm excited for, but I'm not planning on picking them up right away. I need to get through my #60bookchallenge(post to come) first. That being said, there are two I will definitely be getting on release day(well they're already on pre-order); Wicked and This Shattered World. Here's my planned physical books for the month.
How was your November? What are your most excited to read in December?
Happy reading!

I'm not sure I actually had a November because it went by so fast! That sucks about the snow and wow a month without carbs! I think I might become homicidal. Have a great December and enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteOh shopping. I was dreading it but am done now by accident mostly. :D Was out shopping for sth else and took advantage of the situation. Bought all but 1 gift :D Pretty proud of myself.
ReplyDeleteAs for reading, I only read 1 book so... XD
Snow! We were supposed to have some today. Well some people had it but here we had frozen rain :L Maybe next time.

I actually really like Christmas shopping. I try to go during the week though when it's a little bit quieter, but I quite enjoy shopping at Christmas.
ReplyDelete17 books is fantastic compared to what I read! I only read about 7...
Oooh, lots of 4 & 5 star books! I only got about 3 chapters into Fire with Fire... I suck. Lots of Christmas books on your TBR! I reaaaaally hope you enjoy Let it Snow! And hopefully your opinion of Dash & Lily is still the same :) I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME!!!!
