Showcase Sunday #13

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

So actually had a pretty busy week. It was my Nana's 80th and we had a few relatives from England fly over to surprise her. They were only here for a short time, so after work I was spending as much time with them as possible. We even had a nice early Christmas dinner. It was fantastic! :)
Because of that I was slacking a bit, but I will get some reviews up this coming week. Anyhow, on to the books!

Purchased

The Assassin's Curse(The Assassin's Curse #1) by Cassandra Rose Clarke
The House of Scorpion(Matteo Alacran #1) by Nancy Farmer
The Ask and the Answer(Chaos Walking #2) by Patrick Ness
The Hollow(Hollow #1) by Jessica Verday
These Broken Stars(Starbound #1) by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

Netgalley

Secret(Elemental #4) by Brigid Kemmerer

I've already devoured Secret(review will be up tomorrow) and am currently reading These Broken Stars(that cover!). But I'm also pretty excited for all my other purchases. I'm in the middle of The Knife of Never Letting Go as well and enjoying it. So of course I needed to pick up the the next book.

How about you guys? Get anything good?

Happy reading!

Brittany

  2. These Broken Stars was amazing, one of my favourite books of the year plus it has a gorgeous cover! I read The Assassin's Curse last year and found it okay but I think I'd read it again to give it another go! Great haul, enjoy :)

Well since you're the second one to comment about The Hollow, I will try to push it up and get a review out. It does sound interesting. Plus all the books in the series are out. :)
