Showcase Sunday #95

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

Happy New Year's, friends! Hope you had a lovely holiday season with family and friends. It's definitely a busy time of year. But now I'm back to not really working and come February I could be back to be unemployed. But I'll deal with it when I know what's happening.
Anyways, let's get to the fun stuff, books! I got a few books for Christmas. Plus I also got Chapters gift cards that I had no problem spending immediately(which I guess the books I'll have as "purchased" are technically gifted as gift cards). I ended up buying a few books I've already read and just need physical copies of(The Witch Hunter & Better When He's Brave). And than I also used those gift cards for some books I just needed(wanted). All of that doesn't really matter, I have more books. Ha!

Goodbye Stranger by Rebecca Stead
Mark of the Thief(Mark of the Thief #1) by Jennifer A Nielsen

  1. I love the Funkos and the Jamie Frasier one is fantastic! You got some wonderful looking books. I want to read Gail Carriger and Jay Crownover. And of course Everything Everything just sounds amazing. Have a great week!

You must read Rule by Jay Crownover this year. I'll be watching. Lol

  3. Sorry to hear that unemployment may be looming, Brittany. :( I hope that doesn't happen.
I can't believe I haven't read anything by Jay Crownover yet. I need to get on that. I hear phenomenal things about the Air Awakens series. I rarely pick up fantasy but it does sound interesting. I love Trish Doller but haven't read The Devil You Know yet. Can't wait to hear what you think of it!

    1. Thanks Tanya. I've technically been unemployed since August. But managed to get a seasonal gig at Chapters. Unfortunately that ends at the end of the month.
Again, get on reading Rule this year! :)
Air Awakens had amazing reviews. Plus it's cheap on Kindle, so I couldn't pass it up. Hopefully I'll actually get to it in the near future.

  4. Great haul this week! I have been eyeing up To Walk the Earth a Stranger for so long now, but keep putting it off. I might wait and see what you think of it. I hope you enjoy your books :) Happy new year!

  5. I'm positive you'll find a new amazing job soon!

I've been meaning to grab The Witch Hunter. It sounds so good! Oooh, the cover for Wandering Star is so pretty <3 I really hope you enjoy all the books I got you! The Naturals has been a favourite for years. Beware the Wild is a bit strange and unique, and The Devil You Know is a super awesome thriller!

    Happy reading :D

    1. Thank you. Back to the drawing board.

The Witch Hunter is most excellent. And will only be a duology.
      I'm sure I'll thoroughly enjoy them! <3 <3 <3
