Showcase Sunday #88

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

Hola! How has the last few weeks been? I've been doing lots of reading. I also caved and started watching Adventure Time. Needless to say, I am obsessed. I also leave for my trip in a week. So gotta get my ass in gear and get packing and all that business.
Raincoast had their Winter/Spring 2016 preview yesterday. So I spent a few hours learning about some awesome upcoming titles and talking books. The Twitter feed is here for any interested. I may have had a small GIF party with the Raincoast girls and they seem to want to adopt me(find my favourite exchange here). Haha! Lovely chatting with them. See the swag bag and books they sent below.
Of course there is a boat load of other books I got the past few weeks. New releases galore. Queen of Shadows, Dark Wild Night, and The Fate of Ten being some and ones I devoured. Actually I found Dark Wild Night out a week early. Love when that happens.

  1. I have a Jennifer Smith book on my Kindle forever but haven't read it. I love her covers but am not letting myself buy more until I read that one! All that bookish swag is awesome!! I bet that was a happy mail day. Now go pack for your trip!

    1. I gotta buy all the essentials for my trip first. Get some currency exchanged. The fun stuff. Lol
Smith does really cute contemps. I already have read This is What Happy Looks Like, I just need a physical copy to add to my collection. I've read all her books but one. Which one do you have of hers?

  2. EEK - you have After You! I cannot wait to get my hands on that one! I got QoS as a gift, amazing! It was totally a surprise so that makes it even more exciting. I am listening to the series again before I start reading QoS.

    1. After You was soooo good! You'll love it!
QoS! That's an awesome gift. I re-read the series before QoS was released. I still have a lot of feelings over it and it's been like two weeks.

  3. I've had some friends trying to convince me to watch Adventure Time, along with Gravity Falls, for some time now...I don't know what it is exactly, I haven't even seen much of either, but I just can't seem to get interested enough, despite how much everyone goes on about them. :P Oh, maybe one day....

Nice haul! Enjoy your books. :)

    1. Adventure Time is so stupid and silly but so funny. There's some lame parts but mostly I am obsessed. It's definitely not a kids cartoon. More like an in between, like teens.
I haven't heard of Gravity Falls. I'll check it out.

  4. Wow, what a great haul! So did you get both copies of Queen of Shadows? I know some people like to have multiple versions. :) I don't see many people talk about the Doon series. I read the first book and was just kind of ... meh. Not sure yet but I probably won't continue with it. Amber to Ashes is on my TBR but I haven't bought it yet. I have not read anything by Gail McHugh yet (although I have two by her) - how about you? And After You... so excited for that one!!

    1. Yes'um. I am collecting both the US and UK editions for the ToG series. I loves them both. And I do that with a few books/series that I love. Like Harry Potter.
Doon was an entertaining read for me. 3.5*. Second book was 3*. We'll see where this one ends up. I started it but had to put it down well I read some review books.
Haven't read anything by McHugh either. This one seems pretty angsty. So yay! Lol! But I hear it ends on an epic cliff hanger. So I'm going to wait to read it until the sequel is out.
After You is sooooo good. You'll love it!

    2. LOL Hooray for angst! Glad you mentioned the cliffie... I might hold off, in that case.
