Showcase Sunday #60

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

Hey friends. How was your week? Mine was pretty boring. Still doing no carb November, so obviously I'm cranky. And my nightly runs have become so cold. I can't believe I need to find my winter running gear. Blah.
This week saw some of my highly anticipated pre-orders come in. Eeeee!!! I also had a fantastic week with review books. The Marian Keyes book especially. I love her books. Anybody Out There is one of my most favourite books. I'm so happy she has a new book out. It was just a really good week book wise. Which is uplifting and helps a little to battle this pre-winter depression that comes on.

Blue Lily, Lily Blue(The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater: Of course I have to continue on with the series. I'll definitely be reading it soon.
The Retribution of Mara Dyer(Mara Dyer #3) by Michelle Hodkin: The long awaited finale. I have already read and had my life destroyed by this book.
A Thousand Pieces of You(Firebird #1) by Claudia Grey: I've be eagerly anticipating the release of this one. Beautiful cover!
A Breath of Frost(The Lovegrove Legacy #1) by Alyxandra Harvey: Saw it really, really cheap. So couldn't pass it up.
The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie: Been wanting to pick this trilogy up for a while. Box set was on a good deal.

**Thanks to Penguin CA**
The Mime Order(The Bone Season #2) by Samantha Shannon: I haven't read The Bone Season yet. But I will in the next few weeks. I know I'll love this series.
The Women Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes: Jumped at the chance to review this one. I'm a HUGE Keyes fan. Just finished this, review will be up tomorrow. (spoiler, I loved it)

**Thanks to Quirk Books**
Jane Austen Cover to Cover: 200 Years of Classic Book Covers by Margaret C. Sullivan: No way was I going to pass this up. It's a beautiful book.

What did you guys get this week?

Happy reading!

  1. Wow! Great book week! All the covers are gorgeous too which always makes me extra happy! I didn't know the Jane Austen Cover to Cover book existed but now I must have it. It'd be a fabulous Christmas gift as well. Great job on sticking to No Carb November. I can't even imagine my level of crankiness. My family would probably be sneaking me carbs for their own well being.

  2. fantastic books! would love to see the inside of Jane Austen cover to cover book. I'm happy you finished Retribution.. yes i'm still on a book hangover… barely read after it :(
