Top Ten Tuesday: Books About Friendship

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme held by The Broke and the Bookish.

This weeks topic is:

Top Ten Books About Friendship!

For the life of me I couldn't think of any books I've read that are strictly about friendship. So friendship might not be the main theme of the books I've picked but I found it to be very prominent and important aspect of the story. It also seems I picked a lot of middle grade books. Although that's not totally surprising.

10. Counting by 7's

9. Kingdom Keepers

8. The Chaos Walking Trilogy

7. The One and Only Ivan

6. The Raven Cycle

5. Code Name Verity

4. The Book Thief

3. Percy Jackson

2. The Lord of the Rings

1. Harry Potter

What are some of your favourite books with strong friendships? Link up your TTT if you made one.

Happy reading!

Brittany

  1. The Raven Boys is one of my favorite books about friendship, I can't believe I left it off my list. The Book Thief is wonderful as well. I really need to read Code Name Verity.

  2. I love your list. :) Our only overlap is Harry Potter--I am getting ready to read Code Name Verity though. I'm looking forward to it, it's come up on a lot of lists this week.

  5. Good picks! HP of course. I didn't use LotR because I haven't read it yet. I thought about Percy but then passed, it'd be no 11 for sure though, it's a great series on friendship, too. :)
    Nice selection. :)

  7. Harry Potter and Percy Jackson are such great choices. I loved the friendship between Frodo and Samwise. It was my favorite thing in the entire series, and there was a lot to love.

  8. Great picks! HP had to be the top of my list, such an amazing book as far as friendships go. LOTRs is a perfect book to choose as well, so many brilliant and memorable friendships in that one. The Book Thief, how did I forget that one? Such a beautiful book. Great picks! :)

  11. I absolutely love the Chaos Walking trilogy! I read the whole series in one week last summer. I haven't read Percy Jackson, though I've heard such great things about it. I'm definitely going to have to jump on the bandwagon! Great picks! :)

  13. I forgot about The Book Thief!!! RUDY & LIESEL <3333333
I thought about putting PJ on my list and I don't remember why I didn't. But HP was obviously on my list. I'm pretty sure The Raven Boys would have been on it if I could remember anything that happened in it...
    Great list, Brittany! :D
