Showcase Sunday #52

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

What's going on home skillets? Did it suddenly turn to winter where you are? It's getting close to zero tonight. Apparently fall is not going to make an appearance this year... The good thing about that is it makes me much more busy at work. It's been a busy week. I didn't get much reading done. But I think that's because I'm also feeling a little slumpish. There's just other things I feel like doing; watching The 100, playing The Sims. It's all good. BUT I am on my way to Cuba in a few hours. It's technically a work trip. So I have no idea how much down time I'll have. But whatever, I'm not here for a week. Hot, sun, sand and ocean. Mmmmm.... I have scheduled four posts for the week. So the blog will be alive, I'll just be MIA. So I'll catch up with you guys next weekend.
Book wise I kept it pretty low key for me. It would have been only one book until I walked into Chapters. Whoops. #sorrynotsorry. I have torn my shelves apart recently and have at least 75 books going to another home. That means I'm allowed to fill their spots with new books, right? Right?

Purchased

amazon.ca
Dark Lover(Black Dagger Brotherhood #1) by J.R. Ward: I got this used and it's in pretty good shape. This series has so much love that I really need to get on it. It's a paranormal romance. Just my thing.

Chapters
Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang: New release that was getting so much love. I started it and have made 100 and something pages. I am not impressed. It's boring. And I'm pretty sure I have a pretty solid guess on who the narrator is. I've put this down and will try and get back to it at some point.
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson: I LOVE this cover. So I'm finally going to read this very well loved book. YAY!

E-Books Purchased

What you guys get this week?

Happy reading!

  2. I recently read Falling Into Place and actually quite enjoyed it. I already knew who the narrator was though, someone had already told me. I am not sure how I would have felt about it if I didn't know. It was an okay book, I started to have more trouble with it the further I got into the book. The Sky is Everywhere is a book I really enjoyed, never seen that cover for it though - I like it. I hope you enjoy your books :)
