Showcase Sunday #101

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

G'day. Been at least three weeks since I've posted a haul. Surprisingly I don't have a billion books. But I do have more than someones that unemployed should have acquired. *shrugs* Been a decent few weeks. Had my birthday; which we won't discuss the age because rude. Went to the Penguin Teen on Tour; signings are always fun and this one was no exception. Went to a baby shower yesterday because we are at that point in my life and why? *sobbing*
Books, glorious books! Out of the ones I purchased I've actually read most of them/reading one of them next/needed the new edition. US, Undecided and Forever Pucked are all e-books I read and NEEDED the physical copy. Half Lost and The Winner's Kiss are both series enders. *cries*  Anyways, who cares about explanations, you just came for the books. I understand.

  1. Unemployed or not sometimes you just need books! I want to read the Pucked series - partly because the titles always make me giggle a little but also because they look like so much fun.

    - I just got Scarlet from the library!! I can't wait to find out what happens next in the whole Cinder universe!! I'm so glad you talked me into reading/listening to the series.

    1. Truth. Books are must whether you can afford them or not.
Pucked and following titles, are exactly perfect for the type of book series it is. Silly and sexy.

:D :D :D Scarlet is my favourite female character. She's so sassy!

  2. Have you read The Gatekeepers series? I like to covers :) Great haul! And being unemployed gives you a lot more time to read!

    1. Not yet. But I guess I will be binging them at some point.
Oh yes, lots of time to read and be extremely lazy.

  3. Ooooh, can we play Guess Brit's Age? Huh, huh, can we? *claps hands gleefully with no evil intent whatsoever* Baby showers... womp womp womp. Not a fan. Sitting around playing lame-ass games while listening to pregnancy/childbirth horror stories. Yawn. (Uh, can you tell I have no kids? And that it's by choice? And are you thinking that's probably a good thing? Bahaha.) All the pretty books! *hugs them long distance* I need to read Undecided soon. And Him. And The Winners trilogy. And all the books.

    1. Haha! I can straight up tell you it's 31. I fine with age, it doesn't bother. Except right now because I'm unemployed, living at my dad's and single. So that's a wee bit depressing. Especially with all these effing baby showers. Don't worry lady, I'm with you. Maybe for about 5 seconds in my younger years I wanted kids. Now I know better and want nothing to do with them. They're gross. Hahaha.
Well Him and Undecided are priorities! PRIORITIES I SAY!

    2. I'm with you... age has never bothered me. Hitting 30, 40 - didn't bat an eye. I just don't see where it means anything. The Husband is 14 years older than me and that's never been an issue either. Who cares. The triple whammy (job, single, living at home) kinda sucks. I get it. Hope things turn around soon. At least one of them. Or maybe all 3: a gorgeous man, with a job offer, that includes a trendy apartment. One can dream, right?
