Showcase Sunday #99

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

Hello. How's it going? I know it's been really slow around here and it sucks. Here's the deal, I'm still unemployed, and yes that should give plenty of time to blog, but really I don't have any motivation or words. My brain is very lethargic. I owe you guys and publishers reviews. I've been reading, that's not a problem. The problem is actually wanting to write some with any sort of intelligence afterwards. Hopefully I will get a few of these done today. Wish me luck!
It's been three weeks since I've posted a haul, so of course there's a bit of a pile up. The good news is quite a few of these are books I had previously read(or needed more editions; Carry On) or more recently read.

  1. Sorry to hear you've been feeling blah when it comes to reviews and everything. Hopefully getting writing will help. You did get some fantastic books this week though! Breathe Annie Breathe is on my TBR and I love the look of Summer Days and Summer Nights. I've been wanting to read Jojo Moyes (I'm so obsessed with the preview for Me Before You) and I've heard Carry On is fantastic. Hope this week is better and you get back going!

    1. Thanks. I guess it's the pile up of not using my brain to do anything remotely productive and winter blues. :/
You must read Me Before You! You will love it. It is everything. The movie looks fantastic. I cannot wait.
Carry On is fantastic. It was my favourite book of 2015. That's why I need to collect every edition. :D

  2. Ugh, I hate being in a writing slump. Or feeling obligated to write a review when I really don't want to. Sometimes to desire and inspiration and creativity is there... and sometimes it most definitely is not. Hope you start feeling it soon! I love how diverse your purchases were last week! Contemporary and fantasy and classics and middle grade and graphic novels... that's so great! I read Breathe, Annie, Breathe a year or so ago and really loved it. It was so much more than I expected and I remember it well. And I think I like that cover better than the old one.

    1. All the truth. It sure is not here right now. And I feel super guilty for not getting those reviews done because the publisher kind of expects you too. But I just can't get anything written done. Maybe I should just do a full GIF review... :P
I like to think my reading is all over the place. So I guess my purchases would reflect that.
I've yet to read a book of Miranda's. But winning this one will hopefully get me to read one sooner rather than later. Glad you loved it. Hopefully I will too!
